SculptureCenter's Winter Exhibit Enters its Final Week

Winter_Exhibit_Closes_20010101

SculptureCenter's Winter Exhibitions close Monday March 28th! This week is a perfect time to see SculptureCenter's critically acclaimed winter exhibitions Ursula von Rydingsvard: 1991- 2009, and Vide-Poche before they close on Monday, March 28.

Ursula von Rydingsvard: Sculpture 1991-2009

Organized by SculptureCenter, this traveling exhibition includes a selection of the artist's most significant sculptures, including wall reliefs and monumental cedar works created from 1991 to 2009. The SculptureCenter presentation features several works not traveling, including a new cast resin piece installed in our outdoor exhibition court. Ursula von Rydingsvard: Sculpture 1991-2009 is accompanied by a fully-illustrated monograph Ursula von Rydingsvard: Working co-published by Prestel and authored by art historian Patricia Phillips

Read what the critics have to say: The New Yorker, Time Out New York, The L Magazine and The New York Times. Learn more about the artist at ARTINFO and watch a great video of Ursula discussing her process at Artlog. The artist monograph Ursula von Rydingsvard: Working is on sale now in our online bookstore.

Vide-Poche
MiChele Abeles, Samuel Clagnaz, Isabelle Cornaro, Miles Huston, Charles Mayton, Valerie Snobeck

Presented through SculptureCenter's In Practice program, this group exhibition explores what arises from the gesture of emptying out form and content. The French phrase vide-poche literally translates to "empty pocket" but also describes a tray or pouch that can hold the miscellany of daily life, personal affects, and tokens of transaction. Curated by Fionn Meade.
