Stage and screen stars Scarlett Johansson and Sam Rockwell are set for the upcoming movie Lunatic at Large according to Production Weekly. The movie is based on a treatment written by Jim Thompson and the late Stanley Kubrick.
Lunatic at Large is set in New York City in 1956 and centers on a temperamental ex-carnival worker and his relationship with a woman he picks up at a bar.
No further details about the creative team, production timelines or additional casting have been released to date.
Sam Rockwell is currently starring alongside Christopher Walken in A Behanding in Spokane on Broadway. Additional theatre credits include the Labyrinth Theatre Company's The Last Days of Judas Iscariot, directed by Philip Seymour Hoffman, Face Divided, and Mike Leigh's Goose-Pimples. He has also appeared in The Dumb Waiter and Hot L Baltimore for the Williamstown Theatre Festival, both of which were directed by Joe Montello. Films include Moon, Everybody's Fine opposite Robert DeNiro, Betty Anne Waters opposite Hilary Swank and The Winning Season.
