Saycon Sengbloh & Kojo Modibo Sun Come To Joes Pub 8/30

SAYCON (of HAIR) featuring Kojo Modibo Sun is coming to Joe's Pub on Sunday, August 30 at 9:30 PM.

Saycon Sengbloh was most recently seen on Broadway as "Abraham Lincoln" in the smash hit Broadway Revival of HAIR! She began singing and acting as a teenager in Atlanta, GA with the likes of Freddie Hendricks and Tyler Perry. Saycon Sengbloh featured in the February 2009 issue of Vogue Magazine and is preparing for a role in FELA! by Bill T. Jones. A Broadway event about the life and times of Afro-beat pioneer, Fela Kuti. Her musical influences include Sade, Mariah Carey, Frank Sinatra, Prince, and Vanity 6 ! Sengbloh is the executive producer of the E.P. release "Southern Pin-Up!" CDbaby.com Itunes and Rhapsody! Kojo Modibo Sun is not just a band. It's a movement. The newest face of Harlem Rock, Kojo Modibo Sun is about sound and space, taking the melding of rock, blues, gospel, soul, and country & western to entirely new places. Kojo Modibo Sun begins with Scott Patterson. Damian Moore, Toby Wine, and David Alston are among the groups players. The Ballad Of Kojo Modibo Sun, the group's debut album is available CD Baby. $15

(9/27), Shells (9/27), Terekaft (9/29), Among the Oak and Ash (9/30), Chris Byars Plays the Music of Gigi Gryce (10/2), Terry Dame & Electric Junkyard Gamelan / Gina Leishman & Kenny Wollesen (10/12), and CMA Songwriter Series With host Bob DiPiero (11/5).

Tickets can be bought online at joespub.com, by phone at 212-967-7555, or in person at the Public Theater Box Office (1 PM to 6 PM), or at the Joe's Pub Box Office from (6 PM to 10 PM) both located at 425 Lafayette Street, NYC.

For table reservations please call 212-539-8778. Purchase of tickets does NOT guarantee a table reservation; you must call to reserve seats. Seating, as well as standing-room, is available only on a first-come, first-served basis for all shows without a dinner reservation. Two drink or $12 food minimum per person is standard.
