Sarah Brightman Thanks Fans For Support Following Space Journey Postponement & Teases New Music

The Angel Of Music will not fly to space, but is working on new music!

Internationally recognized recording artist, performer and vocalist Sarah Brightman spent the last several months preparing for her lifelong dream of traveling to space and Brightman recently revealed that those plans have now been postponed indefinitely, as BroadwayWorld reported here, but offers a new message of thanks to fans for their support and teases new music on the horizon as well in a new Facebook message.

Brightman writes, "I just wanted to thank all of you for your understanding and lovely messages of support that you have expressed to both myself and my family. They have meant a great deal to me. I have been spending a little time recuperating and exploring new music, which I look forward to sharing with you all very very soon. Lots of Love Sarah B xx".

Additionally, Brightman posted a new space-themed photo visualization of herself accompanying the message, as well.

Brightman posted an official statement postponing her journey in May, sharing, "Sarah Brightman announced today that she is postponing her plans to launch aboard the upcoming Soyuz TMA-18M spaceflight mission. Ms. Brightman said that for personal family reasons her intentions have had to change and she is postponing her cosmonaut training and flight plans at this time. She would like to express her extreme gratitude to Roscosmos, Energia, GCTC (Gagarin Cosmonaut Training Center), Star City, NASA and all the cosmonauts and astronauts, for their support during this exciting time in her life. "Since 2012, Sarah has shared her story of a lifelong dream to fly to space. Her international fame as the world's best-selling soprano has enabled her message to circle the globe, inspiring others to pursue their own dreams," said Eric Anderson, Co-Founder and Chairman of Space Adventures, Ltd. "We've seen firsthand her dedication to every aspect of her spaceflight training and to date, has passed all of her training and medical tests. We applaud her determination and we'll continue to support her as she pursues a future spaceflight opportunity."
