Continuing a tradition of support to community-based, independent theatres, Bruce Springsteen and Columbia Records have once again partnered with Emerging Pictures to offer this widely acclaimed Springsteen film for charitable screenings across the country.

Directed by Grammy- and Emmy-winning filmmaker Thom Zimny, THE PROMISE has received a rapturous critical response around the world, including at the 2010 Toronto, BFI London, and International Rome Film Festivals.

THE PROMISE combines never-before-seen footage of Springsteen and the E Street Band shot between 1976 and 1978 (including home rehearsals and studio sessions) with new interviews with Springsteen, E Street Band members, manager Jon Landau, former-manager Mike Appel, and others closely involved in the making of the record.
