New York, May 24, 2013--ABS-CBN, the Philippine television network that bagged the rights to adapt the hit reality show "The Voice" from Talpa Media Group, based in the Netherlands, has just released "The Voice PH" newest blind auditions trailer, which features coaches Lea Salonga, Apl. de. ap of Black Eyed Peas, Bamboo Mañalac, and Sarah Geronimo--all four have carved out solid music careers and have huge fan bases in the Philippines.

The Philippines joins around 40 other countries that has localized "The Voice" on television, including the more popular U.S. version on NBC, currently hosted by Carson Daly with coaches Shakira, Adam Levine, Usher, and Blake Shelton.

Structured with four various competition stages: (1) producers' auditions, (2) blind auditions, (3) battle and knockout rounds, and (4) live shows, "The Voice," which was created by Dutch television producer John de Mol, stands unique from other singing competitions such as "American Idol" and "X Factor" because of the former's round of blind auditions, where the coaches get to choose their team members based solely on the contestants' singing talents.

"The Voice PH," which premieres next month, is hosted by ABS-CBN talents Toni Gonzaga, Alex Gonzaga, and Robi Domingo--the show's social media correspondent.

In the meantime, Salonga returns to the intimate cabaret space at Cafe Carlyle for the third time until Saturday, June 8.

Salonga's new program titled "Back to Before" at Cafe Carlyle presents a nostalgic repertoire, in which she revisits her life as a New Yorker and pays tribute to her favorite female vocalists--most notably Ella Fitzgerald and Barbra Streisand.

Cafe Carlyle is located at The Carlyle, A Rosewood Hotel (35 East 76th Street Madison Avenue).
