Salgado's CANDELA receives rave reviews in Peru

Choreographer, actor, producer and director Luis Salgado is reaping the fruit of his labor and dedication in Lima (Peru) with rave reviews. "Candela is a delightful performance", as stated by columnist Verónica Becerra. Singer  Eva Ayllon remarked the show as IMPRESSIVE as she was exiting Zum de La Universidad de Lima at Friday night performance where 32 dancers and 11 musicians from Peru are giving it all on stage in this new musical. 

CANDELA "Fuerza y Pasión", directed by Luis Salgado, and co-produced by his new company Salgado Productions along with Pura Vibra Producciones features a great cast of more tan 32 artist from different places in Lima (Peru).

"Integration during the process of creation was central and the keystone in the structure to put on this amazing show. That's why I needed a director quite like Luis Salgado, because he not only looked for an eventually spectacular result but succeded on inspiring and developing young Peruvian talent," Lucia Navarro (Producer) says. She's supporting Un Techo Para Mi País and Enseña Perú institutions, using R.Evolución Latina 'Dare To Go Beyond' and donating 50% of the grosses at the box offIce To these funds.

Led by famous dancer Lourdes Carlín as Candela and Estefanía Vásquez as her daughter Candelita, these two leading ladies are joined by Chusi Amorós, María Luciana Arróspide, Erika Bonelli,  Graciela Bramón, Estefanía Burgos, Cynthia Calderón, Nadia Calmet, Luciana Carlin, Cristina Cilloniz, Gilda Díaz, Olga Gallardo, Michael Grijalva, Juan Pablo Lostannau, Rosa Lozada, Alesandra Miró Quesada, Hernán Muñoz, Micaela Ortiz, Rommy Perales, Otis Rodríguez, Andrea Salazar, José Luis Saldamando, Karina Sevilla, Shiniche Tokumori and Susan Torres. Among the musicians, the gods as the author/director likes to call them, is Ernesto Hermoza. The musical director is Henry Campos, joined by Lourdes Carhuas, Juan de la Vega, Augusto Gil "El Galleta", Fredy Gómez, Marco Oliveros, Ma. Elena Pacheco, Leonardo "Gigio" Parodi, Maritza Rodríguez and José Rojas.

Salgado productions and Pura Vibra offered a performance for Young people from schools 'Fe y Alegría', which work with Ensena Perú. Everyone was greatful and thankful for this work on the show, specially director and Peruvian theater master Nestor Jiménez,  "Your show must be called a 'FIRE', because that's what CANDELA is doing, Luis! Everybody in FE Y ALEGRIA is in shock! We all have come out more identified with our country and more willing to work and create a better Peru. Luis Salgado, you and your team are worth a Peru! Salgado is one of the associate producers of the new Broadway revival of Godspell, presented by Ken Davenport. He will be back in town on September 8th to head the auditions for his new proyect DC-7 the Roberto Clemente Story and work as assistant for the second national tour of In The Heights.

Luis Salgado says "Actually, I'm thankful not only for the process and the results but also for the amount of essential elements such as assistant director Valeria Cossu, stage manager Heather Hogan and lighting designer Joel Silver. Without them my vision couldn't and eventually, wouldn't have come true."
