Sahr Ngaujah On Board for US Tour of FELA!

With 11 Tony ® Award nominations including Best Musical and Best Director of a Musical & Best Choreography for Bill T. Jones, the upcoming US tour of FELA! is set to be led by Sahr Ngaujah, who originated the role on Broadway.

The tour will play starting in DC on Sept. 13th with a Sept 16th press opening, presented by Shakespeare Theater at the Harmon, thru Oct. 9th. Next it will play Atlanta at the Atlanta Civic Center-Oct 11-16th, New Haven at the Shubert from Oct. 20th-23rd, San Francisco from Nov. 15th-Dec. 11th at the Curran Theatre.

Also on the itinerary are the Detroit Music Hall, from February 14th thru March 4th, at the Kimmel Center in Philadelphia from March 20th to 25th and Los Angeles at the Ahmanson from April 25th to June 3rd, 2012.

"We created Fela! to play to people of all ages and backgrounds everywhere. It is a show ultimately about the human spirit and what we are capable of standing for and achieving. Our intent has always been to have this immensely entertaining show seen all over the United States and the world." said Stephen Hendel.
