STUTTERER Wins Oscar for Short Live Action Film

STUTTERER's Benjamin Cleary and Serena Armitage have won the Academy Award for Short Film (Live Action) This was their first nomination.

About the film: For a lonely typographer, an online relationship has provided a much-needed connection without revealing the speech impediment that has kept him isolated. Now, however, he is faced with the proposition of meeting his online paramour in the flesh, and thereby revealing the truth about himself.

Other films in the category include Ave Maria, Shak, Day One and Everything Will Be Okay

The 88th ACADEMY AWARDS are taking place tonight, Sunday, February 28, 2016, at the Dolby Theatre® at Hollywood & Highland Center® in Hollywood, and are being televised live by the ABCTelevision Network. The Oscar presentation is also being televised live in more than 225 countries and territories worldwide. Comedian, actor and filmmaker Chris Rock returns as host of the event for a second time.
