STG Presents Recess Monkey & Johnny Bregar At The Moore Theatre 5/7

By:

Seattle Theatre Group (STG) presents local musicians Recess Monkey and Johnny Bregar in a split bill performance for the whole family on Saturday, May 7, 2011 at 11am at The Moore Theatre.

Recess Monkey invites its audience to rock along with them through an interactive set filled with sing-a-longs and tons on dancing! Time Magazine declares "Recess Monkey: If Seattle is the new bastion of kindie rockers, then the trio of elementary school teachers - Jack Forman, Daron Henry and Drew Holloway - are the city's breakout starts."

Special one-day-only advance sale of Recess Monkey's new album, FLYING!, will be available to audience members. The album will be released to the general public on June 2nd.

Johnny Bregar aims to strike a chord with kids by providing musical vignettes that echo the way they think about the world around them. His original tunes and arrangements of familiar children's songs are sometimes rootsy or rockin', sometimes bluesy or jazzy, but always make you want to dance.

Joining Bregar on stage are the Country Dawgs, including local musicians Korum Bischoff on drums, Jon Green on upright bass, and Mike Derzon on mandolin, banjo, trumpet, harmonica, and Maura Ahearne on backing vocals.

Tickets: Recess Monkey and Johnny Bregar tickets are $12.00 and are on sale now. Purchase tickets online at www.STGpresents.org, by phone at (877) 784-4849, in person at The Paramount Theatre box office, Monday through Friday 10am - 6pm and The Paramount and Moore Theatre venue kiosks, 24-hours a day, 7-days a week. The Paramount Theatre is located at 911 Pine Street in downtown Seattle.
