STEP OFF: Perfect Scores for ‘Country WeekÂ' on DANCING WITH THE STARS

STEP-OFF-Oh-no-Its-Country-Week-on-DANCING-WITH-THE-STARS-20010101

Hurricane Sandy may have bumped most original programming from the air tonight – but not even she can keep the pseudo-celebs of DANCING WITH THE STARS from stomping across that stage.

And oh, God: it's "Country Week."

We're just past the midseason point of DANCING WITH THE STARS: ALL STARS. Many have gone, and we're down to eight. Last week, however, no one got the boot. Tonight's performance will be added to the contestants' individual and group number scores from last week, and that number will help determine who will be eliminated tomorrow.

For "Country Week," well, everyone got a little bit country. Cowboy glitz translates into little more than Honey Boo Boo glam. Regardless, away we go into the recap:

Gilles Marini and Peta Murgatroyd: Cha-Cha, 27.5/30 (84/90 with 3 performances included)
Len: "You come out and give 100%, there are no half measures."
Bruno: "It was sexy and full on."
Carrie Ann: "It was so creative - so sexy…just watch the T-Rex hands!" (I think all of the judges are in agreement: apparently a man in a black mesh shirt and leather pants dancing to country is sexy.)

Sabrina Bryan and Louis Van Amstel: Rumba, 30/30 (88.5/90)
Len: "Wonderful choreography - fantastic!"
Bruno: "Your solo was magic!"
Carrie Ann: "It was breath taking, I had chills. It was just what I wanted."

Kelly Monaco and Val Chmerkovskiy: Tango, 27/30 (78.5/90)
Len: "A little bit hectic..[but] you came out and attacked and you kept it going."
Bruno: "you are back in the game big time. What a comeback."
Carrie Ann: "Nice comeback…that was an ambitious routine."

Melissa Rycroft and Tony Dovolani: Viennese Waltz, 29.5/30 (86/90)
Len: Gives them a standing ovation. That'll sum it up.
Bruno: "It was like love in the great outdoors." (Uh, what?)
Carrie Ann: "You have beautiful lines, but you are not dancing out enough." (Bruno and Len are angry - it's more surprising Carrie Ann's the 'mean one' for once.)

Shawn Johnson and Derek Hough: Rumba, 28/30 (84/90)
Len: "Too many gimmicks."
Bruno: "What I love about it was the fusion of country and the cha-cha ! It was incredible!"
Carrie Ann: "The solo was a little bit safe."

Kirstie Alley and Maksim Chmerkovskiy: Rumba, 27.5/30 (80/90)
Len: "It was clean, it was clear and it was sexy - I liked it, but not that much."
Bruno: "[It was] gorgeousness of real women."
Carrie Ann: "You are the Queen of Sexy!"

Apolo Anton Ohno and Karina Smirnoff: Viennese Waltz, 30/30 (86.5/90)
Len: "[This] was 2 people in perfect harmony. I loved it."
Bruno: "You are a leading man. You were graceful, you movements were excellent."
Carrie Ann: "That was poetry in motion…I am so proud of you. That was your breakthrough number."

Emmitt Smith and Cheryl BurkeFoxtrot, 26.5/30 (82.5/90)
Len: "It lacked a bit of finesse here and there...but it was entertaining overall."
Bruno: "It was a country fun fair!"
Carrie Ann: "You were a bit out of synch…but your solo made up for it all, it was fantastic!"

A group number was also performed, in which the declared winners would have 2 additional points added to their final score. Kirstie and Maks, 2 points for you.

And now that we've reached the point of perfect scores, clear frontrunners are emerging: namely Bryan and Ohno with their perfect scores, while former favorites Smith and Johnson begin to trail. What do you guys think? Have you started making bets on who's going to nab that mirrorball?
