Beginning Tuesday, March 6, for the first time in Broadway history, fans of the revival of GODSPELL can listen online for free to exclusive creative team audio commentary of the performance from the show's legendary composer Stephen Schwartz (Wicked) and director Daniel Goldstein.

The commentary, which was recorded live in February during an evening performance of GODSPELL at Circle in the Square Theatre, features Schwartz and Goldstein as they discuss their process and personal experiences of creating the hit Broadway revival.

Each Monday for the next ten weeks, a new 15-minute audio segment will be available online at www.godspell.com/commentary.

The March 6 installment includes exciting inside discussions on the re-creation of the prologue number "Tower of Babble" -- complete with brand new material performed a cappella, as well as the unique challenges of staging GODSPELL in the round at Circle in the Square Theatre, the initial controversy over the costume selection for Jesus, and much more.

"One of my favorite things to do is listen to commentaries on DVDs. They make the experience that much richer," said Ken Davenport. "So I thought, why not do that for a Broadway musical? Part of the GODSPELL experience, from the investment model, to our GODSPELL blog, has been to invite our fans and supporters behind the curtain. And our commentary is the ultimate entry into how the show was created. As you can imagine, I'm pretty intimately familiar with how it all happened...and even I was totally enthralled with the stories that Stephen and Danny tell throughout their commentary. It's fascinating and a must for any fan of GODSPELL and any fan of musical theater."

Now in performances at Broadway's Circle in the Square Theatre (1633 Broadway at 50th Street), The Wall Street Journal proclaims GODSPELL is "a joyous romp that deserves to run...well, forever!" USA Today says "GODSPELL is cause to rejoice," and New York Magazine says "Go forth and enjoy."

Featuring music and new lyrics by acclaimed Broadway composer Stephen Schwartz (Wicked, Pippin) and original concept and direction by John-Michael Tebelak, GODSPELL is directed by Daniel Goldstein and choreographed by Tony Award nominee Christopher Gattelli (South Pacific).

The new Broadway revival of GODSPELL stars an incredibly talented and eclectic group of 10 young performers, led by Hunter Parrish as Jesus and Wallace Smith and John/Judas, and featuring Uzo Aduba, Nick Blaemire, Celisse Henderson, Morgan James, Telly Leung, Lindsay Mendez, George Salazar and Anna Maria Perez de Tagle.

GODSPELL originally ran for more than 2,600 performances in New York and spawned successful touring productions in major U.S. cities, a 1973 motion picture adaptation and countless international engagements for the past 40 years.

The new Broadway revival of GODSPELL is produced by Ken Davenport, Hunter Arnold, Broadway Across America, Luigi Caiola, Rose Caiola, Edgar Lansbury, Mike McClernon, The Tolchin Family, Guillermo Wiechers & Juan Torres and The People of Godspell. Associate producers include Dennis Grimaldi Production, Todd Miller, Pivot Entertainment Group, Chris Welch and Cedric Yau.
