LX New York's Maria Sansone went backstage at Broadway's St. James Theatre to meet the cast of Green Day's musical AMERICAN IDIOT, and shared the dressing room chatter with Michael Mayer, John Gallagher Jr., Rebecca Naomi Jones and more in a special segment that aired yesterday, July 5.
Nominated for three 2010 Tony Awards, including Best Musical, AMERICAN IDIOT began preview performances at the St. James Theatre, 246 West 44 Street, on March 24, 2010 and opened officially on April 20, 2010. The cast and Green Day performed live on THE TONY AWARDS on Sunday, June 13, 2010 on CBS and took home two Tonys for Best Set of a Musical (Christine Jones) and Best Lighting of a Musical (Kevin Adams).
