Welcome to BWW's Labor Day Celebration. In Part I of our series, we salute the American Worker. Here's to those who tumble out of bed and stumble to the kitchen each morning, pour themselves a cup of ambition and make their way to their NINE TO FIVE jobs. Yes today is a day to recognize those Americans who work so hard, punching their card, when all they really want to do is kick off their Sunday shoes and cut FOOTLOOSE. Let's face it, who hasn't stopped for a moment and thought to themselves, "What would my life be like IF I WERE A RICH MAN? If only I could figure out the secret of HOW TO SUCCEED IN BUSINESS WITHOUT REALLY TRYING, I'd never have to work another day in my life!" But alas, reality sets in and you realize that you NEED THIS JOB in order to pay the RENT.
In the corporate world, most of us find that it's best not to make waves and instead, follow the rules and do things THE COMPANY WAY. Often times, this requires us to be RACING WITH THE CLOCK in order to get the job done on a timely basis. But if labor begins to feel they are being taken advantage of, they must show their SOLIDARITY, and if necessary, even demand a 7 1/2-CENT raise. But the truth is, we live in a Capitalist society, and in order for us to live The American Dream, we need to earn lots of MONEY MONEY MONEY!
