At a Tokyo press conference back in September of 2011, it was announced that BONNIE & CLYDE would make it's Japanese premiere in record time after the show's Broadway opening and we've got highlights from the production.
The show will play the Aoyama Theatre in Tokyo through January 22, 2012 and as per the show's web site, the cast features Bonnie: Megumi Hamada, Clyde: Mario Tashiro, Buck: Koki Okada, Blanch: Yuri Shirahane, Ted: Masaaki Fujioka/Masataka Nakagauchi (double cast), Henry: Noboru Nakayama, Simmons: Kenta Shibasaki, Crowson: Masakatsu Tomuro, Johnson: Yosuke Crawford, Governor Ferguson: Tomoko Tokugaki, Angela: Atsuko Ietsuka, Clare: Yuriko Hoshina, Elena: Marie Uno, Cammie (Clyde's mother): Mayumi Myosei, Hamer: Yuji Kishi, Pastor: Hiro Tsunoda, Bud: Katsumi Toi, Emma: Yukiko Ikeda, Schmidt: Katsumi Kiba.
The Japanese production team includes director Tetsu Taoshita, music director Kaori Kobayashi, Yasuaki Maejima Equipment: Lighting Yukio Horio: Tamotsu Harada Sound: Koichi Yamamoto Choreography: Kimiho supervisor: Yoshiyuki Shimadzu Doramatsurugu: K. Nagaya stage director: Hiroshi Izumi.
On Broadway, BONNIE & CLYDE played its final performance December 30 at the Gerald Schoenfeld Theatre on Broadway but the cast got back together to record the official cast album on January 2, 2012. No release date has yet been announced.
