SPRING AWAKENING Plays the Phoenix Theatre, Opens 9/22
Phoenix Theatre is a year-round, 29-year-old professional company presenting live Contemporary Theatre in an intimate setting from the 130-seat Mainstage and the 75-seat cabaret style Frank and Katrina Basile Theatre. From September 22 through October 23, Phoenix Theatre presents SPRING AWAKENING.
In Spring Awakening, the rock musical adaptation of Frank Wedekind's controversial late nineteenth-century German novel, adolescents discover the inner and outer tumult of their sensuality. Abortion, homosexuality, rape, child abuse and suicide are all addressed in the folk-infused score and the angst-infused characters.
Thursday tickets $15 per person. Friday, Saturday, and Sunday performance tickets will be $25 for all shows. The Phoenix will continue to offer a youth rate of $15, for those individuals aged 20 and younger.
Performances are Thursdays at 7:00 pm; Fridays at 8:00 pm, Saturdays at 8:00 pm and Sundays at 2:00 pm, unless otherwise noted on our website. Doors open ½ hour prior to curtain for seating.
