SPOTLIGHTERS Theatre announces Fall After-School Acting Program
Young Actors Academy: Fall After-School Acting Classes
All after-school classes will take place weekdays from 4-5:30pm.
Classes will run from September 27, 28, and 29 through November 15, 16 and 17.

Tuesdays: Shake-in' it up: Performing Shakespeare, with Lynne Childress
For students grades 5-8
Young actors will be introduced to William Shakespeare, learning about his life and his world, his language and the timeless nature of his work. Students will enhance their literacy through studying heightened text, learn to read scripts critically, and gain a better confidence for classical performance. It is certain to be a Bard-tastic
experience.
Tuition: $150; $125 early bird & returning Academy student discount
Wednesdays: The Actor's Toolbox, with CJ Crowe
For students grades 5-8
Young actors will gain a broad but comprehensive introduction into all of the fundamental tools of the actor. Students will learn how to use voice, body, and imagination to create believable characters and compelling stories. Students will leave with an good understanding of improvisation, vocal technique, the fundamentals of acting techniques, movement, script devising and more.
Tuition: $150; $125 early bird & returning Academy student discount.
Thursdays: Acting Fun-damentals, with Kym Craig
For students grades 3-5
Explore through play! Students will be taken on a journey to discover all about the fundamentals of performance. Students will use their eight weeks to create original scripts through broad playwrighting techniques. They'll have a firm grasp on play structure, acting fundamentals, and even try on the director's hat while they craft their own scenework.
Tuition: $125; $110 early bird and returning Academy student discount
