SF Engagement Of BILLY ELLIOT Ends Run 8/21
The San Francisco engagement of the ten-time Tony Award -winner Billy Elliot the Musical will play its final performance on Sunday, August 21. Tickets are now on sale for all performances through the end of the engagement. The show announced today that they will finish out their summer engagement on August 21, rather than the previously scheduled September 17 date.
Now entering its final five weeks, Billy Elliot opened in San Francisco on Tuesday, June 28th to critical and audience acclaim. The San Francisco Chronicle calls Billy Elliot "One of this century's most thrilling pieces of musical theatre!" CBS 5 calls it "The must see show this summer!" and says Billy Elliot is "Full of heart, hope and brilliant performances." The Bay Area News Group says, "Billy Elliot dances away with our hearts" and "Soars above all expectations!" ABC 7 cheers Billy Elliot is "One of the greatest musical theatre events I have ever seen!"
Billy Elliot the Musical is the joyous celebration of one boy's journey to make his dreams come true. Set in a small town, the story follows Billy as he stumbles out of the boxing ring and into a ballet class, discovering a surprising talent that inspires his family and his whole community and changes his life forever.
