SCANDALOUS' David Pomeranz Performs Solo Concert at 54 Below Tonight

David Pomeranz, pop hitmaker and "Scandalous" on Broadway's composer, will hold a one-night-only solo concert at 54 Below, Broadway's famed nightclub, tonight, December 9 at 7 p.m.

Pomeranz's solo recordings and songs have sold more than 40 million copies worldwide; his chart-topping hits have also been recorded and performed by equally accomplished recording artists such as Barry Manilow ("Tryin' to Get the Feeling Again" and "The Old Songs"), Freddie Mercury, Bette Midler, Clay Aiken ("It's in Every One of Us"), Phoebe Snow, Kenny Rogers, Richie Sambora of Bon Jovi, Kathie Lee Gifford ("Scandalous's" book writer and lyricist), and Missy Elliott, among others.

Furthermore, his solo album "Born For You – His Best and More," under MCA/Universal, has gone more than 10 times platinum in Asia, and has become the largest-selling international pop album in the Philippines, where he recently held a concert with Tony winner Lea Salonga, who previously recorded Pomeranz's show-stopping ballads "He's Got to Be Someone" and "This is What I Dreamed" from the stage musical "Little Tramp."

Pomeranz's theater credits also include his stage adaptation of Charles Dickens's novel "A Tale of Two Cities, which recently opened at Charing Cross Theatre in London; and the 2005 Off-Broadway production of "Under the Bridge," featuring Pomeranz's music and Gifford's book and lyrics; and starring Ed Dixon.

For tickets to Pomeranz's special performance at 54 Below, call 866-468-7619. Cover charge: $20-$30, food & beverage minimum: $25.
