SARTA Launches Campaign To Provide Theatres With Volunteers And Ushers

SARTA is launching a campaign this summer to provide local theatres with a team of volunteers to go and fix them up! Volunteers needed to paint, clean, and some minor manual labor. SARTA will provide lunch to all our volunteers at each site. If you're interested in volunteering please email us at sarta@sarta.com or visit our website www.sarta.com/volunteer.htm.

If you are a member theatre interested in having a crew come help you out please contact the office via phone 916-443-8229 or email. Please provide the projects you would like to have done and how many volunteers you would like. SARTA asks that you, as a participating theatre, provide any materials needed for your projects (i.e. paint, brooms, etc) and SARTA will provide the workers. Please do not request services for set building or any other show-related project. This team is being created to improve our physical buildings and spaces.

SARTA is excited to announce an all-new database for show volunteers. The Sacramento Area Regional Theatre Alliance is an alliance of producing organizations, individual theatre artists and technicians, and administrators formed to foster and promote high quality theatre in the Sacramento area and neighboring regions.

Its purpose will be: to provide services for their mutual benefit; to develop and facilitate effective communication within the Alliance and between Alliance members and the community; to serve as a resource center which offers and provides technical support, information, and resource sharing for any and all community members.
