TVGuide reports that NBC's upcoming comedy 1600 PENN will soon play host to a 'Book of Mormon' reunion! Rory O'Malley is set to guest star on the midseason sitcom starring his BOM co-star Josh Gad.
O'Malley, who portrays missionary Elder McKinley in the Tony Award winning musical, will guest star on 1600 PENN in the role of "a rule-abiding White House tour guide who competes with First Son Skip (Gad) to offer the best tour to visitors."
The actor received both Tony and Drama Desk nominations for the role of openly closeted Mormon Elder McKinley. His other Broadway credits include The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee. Off-Broadway and regional credits include Newsical, and the role of Richie Cunningham in Garry Marshall’s Happy Days The Musical. He appeared in the film adaptation of Dreamgirls and has had guest roles on TV's Nurse Jackie, Law & Order- SVU.
