Rooftop Films to Present GHOSTBUSTERS on Coney Island, 7/2

Some great shows are coming up next week including a special free screening of GHOSTBUSTERS on Monday on the beach on Coney Island; a dedication to the diversity, daring, and charm of our country with short films on Independence Day; Rooftop Films, indieWIRE, and Snag Films celebrate our 16th year anniversaries with a special sneak preview of The Imposter on Thursday; a free screening of short films from New York filmmakers on Friday; and short films that examine the changing landscape in industry and architecture on Saturday.

Monday, July 2

Ghostbusters
Coney Island Flicks on the Beach kicks off with a free screening of this classic New York City film. Join Rooftop Films, NYC & Company, and theConey Island Development Corp. every Monday for amazing films, music and more on the beach.
Venue: On the Beach at Coney Island
Address: 3059 West 12th Street, Brooklyn, Take the D, F, N or Q train to Coney Island, walk to the beach and make a left.

The American Experience Shorts Program (60min.)
On America’s birthday, we celebrate the diversity, daring, and charm of our country, in a program of short films that is funny, revelatory, dramatic and All-American.
Venue: On the Lawn at Socrates Sculpture Park

An engaging investigation into a bizarre 1997 case in which a French man impersonated a missing adolescent from San Antonio that combines non-fiction detective work with an alluring sense of mystery.
