By:

Canadian pianist and composer Renee Rosnes, who was nominated for a 2006 MAC award, will make her Tanglewood Jazz Festival debut as a guest of Marian McPartland for a live taping of "Piano Jazz" on September 1, 2007.

Having toured and recorded with many of the greatest masters Rosnes has worked with Joe Henderson, JJ Johnson, Wayne Shorter, the Carnegie Hall Jazz Band, James Moody, and Bobby Hutcherson, among others.

Ms. Rosnes has released a series of nine musically imaginative recordings on the Blue Note label, which have garnered four Juno  Awards. She is also a founding member of the San Francisco Jazz Collective, an all- star octet currently featuring saxophonist Joe Lovano and trumpeter Dave Douglas.

Tickets for the special event start at $18, for lawn seats.  For tickets and more information about the 2007 Tanglewood Jazz Festival, visit www.tanglewood.org
