Renee Blinkwolt Named New Managing Director of Ars Nova

Ars Nova Artistic Director Jason Eagan and Co-Founder and Board President Jenny Steingart have announced that Renee Blinkwolt has been named the company's new Managing Director.

Renee Blinkwolt, who will take up the post beginning February 3, 2014 takes over for Jeremy Blocker who was recently named Managing Director of New York Theatre Workshop.

Renee Blinkwolt is currently the Producing Director of the Playwrights Realm, where she produced the premieres of Ethan Lipton's Red-Handed Otter and Lauren Yee's The Hatmaker's Wife. During her tenure at the Realm, Ms. Blinkwolt doubled the company's earned income, institutional giving, and attendance and increased the company's budget by 25%. Her previous positions include Managing Director of Naked Angels, General Manager of Two River Theater Company, and Season Producer of Ensemble Studio Theatre. She holds an MFA in Producing & Theatre Management from Columbia University and a BFA from Carnegie-Mellon University.
