Registration Extended For TST's 13th Annual Musical Theatre Camp for Kids

By:

It's the 13th year for Towne Street Theatre's summer programming and children from 8 to 17 are invited to experience the magic of theatre. In this one-week musical theatre intensive, children will study acting, improvisation, voice, and dance every day. All of their classes, and everything they learn during this week-long session, provide the foundation for their own show choir performance - their very own "Glee." See the TST Kids put it all together and come up with a great musical revue worthy of sectionals, nationals, and yes, a final performance at the Stella Adler Theatre. It's "Hey, kids - let's put on a show" for the 21st century. It's "TST Glee!"

Towne Street Theatre continues to provide a nurturing atmosphere where young actors can develop their spirit, imagination and performance techniques. Students gain confidence and valuable life skills including creative problem-solving, teamwork, and personal responsibility - all while having fun working as part of an ensemble. With small classes and one-on-one coaching, TST's professionally trained faculty enlivens creative minds while teaching the practical elements of performing LIVE on stage. Our past camp productions include Once On This Island, The Wiz, and Disney's Beauty and The Beast. Towne Street Theatre - "Changing lives through a life-long continuum of music, dance, and theatre."

TST's Musical Theatre Camp will take place Monday through Friday, August 8-12, 2011, with performances of "TST Glee!" on Saturday, August 13th and Sunday, August 14th. The camp and performances are at the Stella Adler Theatre, 6773 Hollywood Boulevard, Los Angeles, CA 90028. Full and partial scholarships are available. For additional information about camp registration or "TST Glee!" please contact Towne Street Theatre at www.townestreet.org or call (213) 712-6944 or (323) 664-4801.
