Red Shark And White Rabbit Present MACBETH, Closes 3/27

By:

RED SHARK PRODUCTIONS and WHITE RABBIT THEATRE are pleased to present William Shakespeare?s MACBETH, directed by Andrew Rothkin. MACBETH will play a three-week limited engagement at the Wings Theatre (154 Christopher Street). Performances end Sunday, March 27.

Set in the 1930s, with influences from the Hollywood Golden Age of Glamour, Universal Horror Films and Film Noir, MACBETH 2011 explores the darkness of classic Shakespeare work.

What would you do for power, riches and worldwide glory? For Macbeth and his wife, nothing will stand in their way. After all, on the path to greatness, what?s one more murder, more or less?

Follow the deadly duo on their dark, spiraling journey through the occult, transcendental bloodlust and murder... and ultimately...to madness. March 2011...something wicked this way comes.

The production features scenic design by Jara Belmonte, costume design by Kerry Gibbons, props design by Elisa Beth Abatsis and lighting design by Crystal M. Lee. Howard Fredrics is the original music composer and sound designer, Anthony Jones is the special effects designer Andrea Andresakis is the choreographer, Nicholas Santasier is the fight choreographer and Katy Moore* is the stage manager.
