Red Eye Theater Holds 25th Anniversary Gala 'All Tomorrow's Parties' 5/16

By:

This season marks the 25th anniversary of the Red Eye Theater and for Red Eye there is a lot to celebrate. This theater - the Twin Cities' leading champion of new work for the stage - is known as risk-taking and change-making. It's a highly-respected theater with proven staying power and a cachet born of artistic integrity and wide-spread impact. In its 25 years it has played a critical role at being on the cutting edge of American theater, a period during which Red Eye also has become a leader in arts education, and provided a home for those looking to get up-close and personal with the thrills and challenges involved in developing new work.

To celebrate this milestone, Red Eye Theater is having an anniversary gala, All Tomorrow's Parties hosted at Fallon in downtown Minneapolis. This event is on Saturday, May 16 and is open to the public. We invite you to help recognize a quarter century of uncompromising vision and artistic excellence by attending All Tomorrow's Parties, the special anniversary gala on Saturday, May 16, 2009 from 7-11 p.m.

All Tomorrow's Parties will feature an array of tasty hors d'oeuvres donated by area restaurants, a fun silent auction, select performances by some of the fabulous artists who have developed new work at Red Eye, and a multi-screen panorama of stills and video from a quarter century of innovative theater. This festive event is being hosted at the recently relocated Fallon headquarters, a stunning space that incorporates designs inspired by, and materials native to Minnesota. Located on the 24th floor of the AT&T Tower at 9th and Marquette, Fallon's common area boasts sweeping views of the downtown skyline, along with a cozy fireplace, stage for performances, top notch sound system, and seven flat screen televisions, plus two adjacent rooms appropriately named "The Bird's Nest" and "Treehouse." Party-goers will enjoy how well Minneapolis' top agency transitions from creative hotbed by day to fabulous gala venue by night.

Join an estimated 300 family, friends and supporters - including current and former board members and company performers, along with the original co-founders - as Red Eye marks this significant milestone. Tickets are $25 and can be purchased online at www.redeyetheater.org. For more information call 612-870-0309.
