ReVision Theatre Hosts READINGS FROM ASBURY PARK

By:

ReVision Theatre is pleased to announce the return of its' successful reading series: READINGS FROM ASBURY PARK. READINGS is a monthly presentation of new plays and musicals that are in various stages of the development process. The local professional theater group has selected new works to present from hundreds that are submitted. Revision Theatre, and their newly formed RVT Script Club, has selected the most unique scripts with an eye towards production at ReVision. "This gives us the opportunity to hear new works under consideration as possible fully staged productions. Some are written by authors and composers that we believe in and as such we have made available our reading series as a way for them to hear their work read out loud. This allows the writers a much needed opportunity to see what works and what doesn't, thereby greatly enhancing the development and potential progress of the project", states Producing Artistic Director David Leidholdt. "You, the audience member become a vital part of the creation and developmental process and we invite you to join in and offer your feedback".

All readings are FREE and take place at The Showroom located at 708 Cookman Avenue. Following each reading will be an informal wine & cheese reception where the audience will have a unique opportunity to discuss the piece with the actors and writers. Donations are always happily accepted.

Please visit www.ReVisionTheatre.org for a more detailed description of each reading.
The current schedule is as follows:

January 24 @ 6:30 The Poor Don't Play Croquet, written by Jeff Hughes
February 21 @ 6:30 Stark Shadows, written by Michael T. Mooney
March 21 @ 6:30 The Importance of Being, a new play by Brian Murphy
April 18 @ 6:30 Say a Prayer for Emily Hall, written by Casey Jones
