BroadwayGirlNYC has revealed via a blog entry that Twisted Sister's Dee Snider may be joining the ROCK OF AGES cast on Broadway for a 10 week stint. Writes BroadwayGirlNYC: "I have it on good authority that Dee Snider, lead rocker of Twisted Sister, will be joining the Rock of Ages cast...It isn't permanent, but this is no one night stand. Dee is in the final stages of talks to be a Broadway Rocker for 10 weeks!...My sources also tell me that Tuesday nights will be extra special - Dee Snider will be doing something special for fans after the show along the lines of Q&As and talk-backs."
This post came on the heels of these tweets from Dee Snider himself:
Long day of rehearsals! Remembering lines, stage blocking and choreography is kicking my ass! I can do it!

Snider joined the recently formed Twisted Sister and became the sole songwriter of the band thereafter. The group released their first studio album, Under the Blade, in September 1982 and developed a following in the UK. Less than a year later, Twisted Sister released their sophomore effort, You Can't Stop Rock 'n' Roll. Their third album, Stay Hungry, hit shelves on May 10, 1984. This would become the band's most successful record with the hits "We're Not Gonna Take It" and "I Wanna Rock." That same year in November, Twisted Sister released Come Out and Play, which was followed by Love Is for Suckers in 1987. Snider departed the band hereafter.
The music that ignited a generation is heating up Broadway in ROCK OF AGES. The classic rock love story of the decade erupts into Broadway's best party, all to the sounds of such feel-good, sing-out-loud songs as Every Rose Has Its Thorn, I Wanna Know What Love Is, Here I Go Again, Don't Stop Believin' and more. This hilarious five-time Tony nominated musical is nothin' but a good time.
