The New York Post reports this morning that everyone's favorite international spy, Austin Powers, may be next seen on the Great White Way in a new Broadway Musical.  At least, if the character's alter ego, Mike Myers, has anything to do with it.

According to the report, Myers is in talks to adapt the franchise into a Broadway musical, however, while he is set to star in a fourth Austin Powers film for New Line sometime in the near future, he will allegedly not be recreating his famous spoof onstage.

No offical annoucements or production timeline for an Austin Powers musical has been made.

The Austin Powers franchise, written by and starring Mike Myers as the title character, parodies numerous James Bond, Derek Flint, Jason King, and Matt Helm films, following the British spy's heroic quest to bring the villain Doctor Evil to justice. The films poke fun at the plots, rampant sexual innuendo, and one-dimensional stock characters characteristically associated with 1960s spy films, as well as the cliché of the ultra-suave male superspy.
