RAPTURE, BLISTER, BURN Extends Through June 30 at Huntington

Due to popular demand, the Huntington Theatre Company extends its production of the 2013 Pulitzer Prize Finalist Rapture, Blister, Burn toSunday, June 30.

Tickets to extension performances are on sale now at huntingtontheatre.org; by phone at 617 266 0800; and in person at the BU Theatre Box Office, 264 Huntington Ave. and the Calderwood Pavilion at the BCA Box Office, 527 Tremont St. in Boston's South End.

Huntington Artistic Director Peter DuBois directs Gina Gionfriddo's searing new comedy that examines the psyches of two women in midlife as they reconsider the differing choices they have made. The cast features Kate Shindle as academic rock-star Catherine Croll, Annie McNamara as her friend Gwen Harper, local favorites Timothy John Smith (Candide) as Catherine's ex-flame and Gwen's current husband Don Harper and Nancy E. Carroll (Good People, Luck of the Irish) as Catherine's sharp-tongued mother Alice Croll, and Huntington newcomer Shannon Esper as local college student Avery Willard.

Rapture, Blister, Burn began preview performances on Friday, May 24 and opens officially tonight, May 29.
