Second Stage Theatre (Carole Rothman, Artistic Director, Casey Reitz, Executive Director) has announced complete casting for its upcoming world premiere production of THE LAYOVER, written by Leslye Headland and directed by Trip Cullman, who collaborated on Second Stage Uptown's hit comedy Bachelorette.

THE LAYOVER will feature Quincy Dunn-Baker (Draft Day), Arica Himmel, Annie Parisse (2ST's Becky Shaw, "Vinyl"), John Procaccino (Our Mother's Brief Affair, A Time to Kill), Adam Rothenberg (2ST's Danny and the Deep Blue Sea, "Ripper Street"), and Amelia Workman (Natasha, Pierre...).

THE LAYOVER is the final production of Second Stage Theatre's 2015-16 mainstage season.

THE LAYOVER will begin previews on Tuesday, August 9 and will officially open on Thursday, August 25 at Second Stage's Tony Kiser Theatre (305 West 43rd Street). Tickets are currently on sale. A limited number of 30 under 30 seats are available for $30 for people ages 30 and under. Season subscriptions are currently available through 2ST.com or by calling the box office at 212-246-4422.

Ever wonder who that stranger is sitting next to you? What is their story? What are they hiding? Shellie and Dex dare to answer these questions after their flight is delayed on a snowy Thanksgiving night. What they discover about themselves, and each other, sends both of their lives into upheaval. A psychological thriller from the darkly funny writer ofBachelorette, The Layover asks the question: Can you ever really get to know somebody when you're hiding so much yourself?

THE LAYOVER features scenic design by Mark Wendland, costume design by Clint Ramos, lighting design by Japhy Weideman, sound design by Fitz Patton, and video design by Jeff Sugg.

TICKET INFORMATION

Individual and group tickets for THE LAYOVER are available at www.2ST.com, by calling the box office at 212-246-4422, or by visiting the Tony Kiser Theatre at 305 West 43rd Street. Box office hours are Sunday - Friday 12:00pm to 6:00pm andSaturday 12:00pm to 7:00pm.

Three play packages, which include The Layover as well as Engagements and Notes from the Field: Doing Time in Education, are available for $120.

In partnership with Second Stage Theatre, TodayTix will launch a rush ticketing platform offering $30 tickets for THE LAYOVER beginning on the production's first preview Tuesday, August 9. In order to gain access to the $30 rush tickets for performances, ticket buyers must download the TodayTix app and unlock the functionality by sharing on their Facebook or Twitter pages. Once unlocked, users have access to rush pricing daily. Beginning at 10am ET on the day of performance, rush tickets can be purchased on a first come, first served basis until that day's rush inventory is sold out. Customers can pick up their tickets at Second Stage's Tony Kiser Theatre box office (305 West 43rd Street) beginning one hour prior to curtain.
