Puppet Heap Presents I KNEW AN OLD LADY WHO SWALLOWED A FLY 11/12

Puppet Heap Moving Picture Co. has announced that three of their standout short films "Omar's Mother" and "I Knew an Old Lady Who Swallowed a Fly" and "Last Rights" (previously known as "Main Event") have been selected as entrants in the "Puppets on Film" which is presented by BAM & The Jim Henson Foundation.

"Puppets on Film" will take place at the Brooklyn Academy Of Music (30 Lafayette Avenue, Brooklyn, NY) for two consecutive weekends and will feature the best in puppet-based film. "Omar's Mother," a twisted and imaginative short film about a boy, his mother and a magical well, will be screened as part of Compilation A on Saturday, November 12th at 4:30 pm.

"I Knew an Old Lady Who Swallowed a Fly," a story of gluttony and obsession that leads to a monstrous series of fantastical events, will be screened as part of the Family Compilation on Sunday, November 13th at noon. The screening will be followed by a Q&A with the film's director, Paul Andrejco.

Additionally, "I Knew an Old Lady Who Swallowed a Fly" will be featured by PUNCH Puppet Slam on Thursday, October 20th at 7:30 pm. PUNCH, located at 92YTribeca (200 Hudson St) will be an evening of film and entertainment from the world of puppetry.
