Princeton's Triangle Club Returns to McCarter Theatre with DOOMSDAY OF OUR LIVES, 6/1-2

By:

Back from National Tour and sold out shows in Washington and New York, Princeton's Famous Triangle Show returns to McCarter Theatre Center for two encore performances of its 2011 original musical extravaganza, Doomsday of Our Lives…Hindsight is 2012. Performances are Friday, June 1 at 8pm and Saturday, June 2 at 7:30pm.

Prepare your bunker, set your zombie traps, check the batteries in your radiation detector. 2012 is racing toward us, and it can mean only one thing-the end of the world! Luckily, Princeton's Famous Triangle Show is coming to the rescue with a musical-comedy Armageddon. Turns out Apocalypse can be fun, if you are well equipped with a bag full o' puns, madcap comedy, hilarious hi jinks-plus the Triangle trademark all-guy kickline! In Doomsdays of Our Lives, the brilliant music, lyrics and laughs of Princeton's best and brightest will surely prove that Triangle and 2012 are an earth-shattering combination.

This year's show boast several Triangle Club members who hail from New Jersey Eric Falcon, Sumitra Shai, Alex Kasdin from Princeton; Chris Murphy from Pennington; Nicholas Crowell from West Orange; Brenton Partridge from Califon; Amy Tourgee from Morristown; Rob Clayton from Flemington; and Kevin Laskey from Belle Mead.

Following on the heels of Triangle's recent successes, including Family Feudalism, Store Trek, and Stark Raven Mad!, the highly skilled teams of professionals (all Triangle alumni!) return to stage Doomsday of Our Lives: director Glen Pannell '87, choreographer Hans Kriefall '87, and music director Peter Mills '95. Returning to design costumes for this year's production will be Karl Ruckdeschel, who was the associate costume designer for the Broadway productions of Rock of Ages and Avenue Q.

Tickets for Doomsday of Our Lives start at $25. Student and kid tickets $10 (on the web use promo code STUTIX). To order tickets by phone, call (609) 258-2787 or visit online www.mccarter.org. McCarter Theatre is located at 91 University Place in Princeton.

Triangle Club, is the oldest collegiate musical-comedy troupe in the nation, is the only college group that creates an original, student-written musical each year that is presented on national tour. The Club boasts a rich and complex history, as well as long list of alumni who have graduated to eminence in the creative arts. Besides F. Scott Fitzgerald '17, notable Triangle members of yesteryear include Booth Tarkington 1893, Joshua Logan '31, James Stewart '32, José Ferrer '34, Wayne Rogers '56, Clark Gesner '60, Jeff Moss '63, David Kelley '79, and Brooke Shields '87.
