Pride Films and Plays to Present AND THE WINNER WASN'T, 9/19
By: Lauren Wolman
Pride Films and Plays hosts a fun special event at Sidetrack on Monday, September 19 from 6:30 to 8:00pm: And the Winner WASN'T - But the Finalists Are! The evening will feature Chicago's best musical theater and cabaret stars performing Oscar-nominated songs that did not win!
And just as importantly, we will be announcing the five finalists advancing to the final round of judging in our Great Gay Screenplay Contest. The finalists will each receive a $400 cash prize, and their scripts will be performed as staged readings in the Great Gay Screenplay Finale Weekend October 21 to 23 in the Hoover-Leppen Theater at Center on Halsted. A performance schedule will be released to the press on September 20, 2011.
