Prescott Fine Arts Association Presents A LITTLE SOMETHING FOR EVERYONE 3/27
Prescott Fine Arts Association is proud to present in association with the Prescott Public Library, A LITTLE SOMETHING FOR EVERYONE at 2:00 PM on Sunday, March 27, 2011, at the Prescott Public Library. The three one-act plays are directed by Parker Anderson, Alex Gabaldon and Sean Jeralds. Admission is free though donations are appreciated.
About the Plays:An afternoon of short plays including A LITTLE SOMETHING FOR THE DUCKS by Jean Lenox Toddie about a zestful courtship between older folks, TALKING TO MYSELF, a comedy written and directed by Alex Gabaldon. This play celebrates a writer's creative process in a light and whimsical adventure of inspired madness. The third play MY NARRATOR by Norm Foster is a romantic comedy that asks you to imagine what would happen if that little voice inside your head-the one that tells you how to behave and what choices to make-suddenly took on a life of its own.
About PFAA Readers Theater:
In its third season, PFAA is again collaborating with the Prescott Public Library to present a series of staged play readings, free to the public. Similar to Mainstage productions, these are fully rehearsed, and will be performed in The Founders' Room in the lower level of the Library. Talented reader's theatre cast members deliver the dialogue using vocal intonation, facial expression and limited physical movement, with scripts in hand. On a professional level, many playwrights and/or composers and lyricists of musicals hold similar readings of their work looking for potential financial backers. Directors look upon this form of theatre as a way to broaden their ability to reach out and "test the waters" in different styles of theatre.
