Prescott Fine Arts Gallery Presents Collagraph Workshop 5/17
By: Kelsey Denette
Collagraphy is a printing technique where the plate is built up by gluing various materials and textures in layers, ink is added to the plate and transferred to paper via a press, thus creating a collagraphy print. Collagraphs are original prints, and can be signed and framed. This is an exciting and unique form of printmaking.
Join Sandy Louttit as she demonstrates and leads students through this exciting process. Students are encouraged to bring a variety of products including, but not limited to lace, wire, string, gauze, feathers, leaves, sand and images on paper. Thick objects are about the only thing that won't work in this process. The workshop, taught by Sandy Louttit is on Tuesday, May 17 from 10am-3pm. Workshop fee is $125 and all major materials are included in the class fee. A materials list will be provided at the time of registration. Workshop size is limited to ten students, so register early.
