Playwrights Realm Begins Next Edition Festival, 1/22

The Playwrights Realm www.playwrightsrealm.org, under the leadership of Artistic Director Katherine Kovner and Producing Director Renee Blinkwolt, will present the Next Edition Festival, a free first look at five plays from its previously produced playwrights January 22 through 24 at Ars Nova Loft, 511 West 54th Street.

The Next Edition Festival features the plays of Anton Dudley, Gonzalo Rodriguez Risco, Jen Silverman, Christopher Wall, and Anna Ziegler.

The Playwrights Realm is in it for the long haul, which is why its support doesn't end when the curtain comes down on a production. After a Playwrights Realm premiere, the playwright joins its Alumni Playwrights Group. The alumni meet monthly to develop its members' latest work, to participate in public readings, and to advance alumni careers and craft. And once a year, all alumni can be on the bill for the Next Edition Festival, which is presented free of charge to patrons and industry professionals alike.
