Plain and Fancy by 42nd Street Moon, March 15 - April 1

By:

42nd Street Moon presents a staged concert reading of Plain and Fancy, performances beginning March 15 through April 1 at the Eureka Theatre.

Plain and Fancy has music by Albert Hague, lyrics by Arnold Horwitt, and a book by Joseph Stein and Will Glickman.  This current production is directed by Bobby Weinapple, with musical direction by Dave Dobrusky and choreography by Stacy Arriaga.

"A seldom seen hit musical from 1955, in the tradition of Rodgers and Hammerstein, Plain and Fancy spotlights the cultural collision that occurs when two New York sophisticates find themselves in the middle of a Pennsylvania Amish wedding celebration," states press notes, "The vividly atmospheric score includes the hit songs 'Young and Foolish' and 'This is All Very New to Me,' as well as 'It's a Helluva Way to Run a Love Affair,' 'It Wonders Me,' and 'Plenty of Pennsylvania.'"

Plain and Fancy performs two low-priced previews March 15 & 16 at 8PM.  Opening March 17 with performances through April 1.  Regular Performances: Thursdays & Fridays at 8PM; Saturdays at 6PM; and Sundays at 3PM.

Early Curtain Wednesday: March 28 at 7PM; Discussion with Director & Cast: Sunday March 18 & 25.
