Mega stage and screen star Hugh Jackman attended off-Broadway's dark comedy "RUMSPRINGA" Saturday night, April 4th and visited after with the cast and writer/director Peter Zinn.

RUMSPRINGA", the Amish rave drama written and directed by Peter Zinn recently extended its limited engagement at The Green Room Theatre at 45 Bleecker Street through Saturday, May 2nd. The play, which features Jim Boerlin, C.S. Drury, Kirsty Meares and Mickey Sumner, is a dark comedy about three unlikely companions who find themselves under the influence of Ecstasy during an Amish 'rave' in an Indiana cornfield.

"Rumspringa", which was work-shopped at Chicago's Victory Gardens Theatre, at HB Studio and the Geraldine Page Salon in New York City, began previews at off-Broadway's 45 Bleecker Street Theatre on January 20th and opened officially on February 11th, 2008. "Rumspringa", is co-produced by GSP Enterprises, LLC and 45 Bleecker Street Theatre. (Rumspringa is the coming-of-age experience for Amish teenagers when they are permitted a period of experimentation and freedom from religious rules, including going to bars, drinking, taking drugs, driving cars, and dating non-Amish people. The term rumspringa is a literal translation of the Pennsylvania German expression, "running around.")
