Monday nights have been long enjoyed by theatregoers and all of us here at BroadwayWorld.com as the night where there's more cabarets, benefit concerts and other special events than we know how to handle. The beginning of the week has gotten even more complicated now, because in addition to all of those, we're now finding ourselves rushing home to be in front of the TV at 10pm to watch the wonderful NURSE JACKIE on Showtime, starring Edie Falco. The show has featured a parade (which we hope never ends) of other Broadway talent and guest stars as well. Season 3, which began last week looks to be the show's sharpest, most fun and strongest season yet.
Amongst the Broadway talent guesting in the first two seasons - Eli Wallach, Judith Ivey, Blythe Danner, Swoozie Kurtz, Victor Garber, Barbara Barrie, Julia Ormond, Harvey Fierstein, Allison Case, Eddie Korbich, Erin Dilly, Andrea Martin, Natascia Diaz, Deidre Goodwin, Jordan Gelber, Christopher Jackson, Mary Testa and Manu Narayan.
And, who's coming up in Season 3? Gregory Jbara, Jessica Hect, Santino Fontana, Rebecca Naomi Jones, Mary Faber, Theo Stockman, Michael Cumpsty, Haneefa Wood, Virgnia Kull, Lou Liberatore, Curtis Holbrook, Danny Hoch, Cristin Milloti, Marian Seldes, Judith Light, Swoosie Kurtz, Dan Lauria and Talia Balsam.
That's not all, Season 3 also features writing by playwrights Rajiv Joseph, Liz Flahive and Ellen Fairey. It doesn't get much more Broadway than that!
