Photo Coverage: STILL LIFE Opening Night Party

MCC Theater (Robert LuPoneBernard Telsey, Artistic Directors; William Cantler, Associate Artistic Director; Blake West, Executive Director) presents the world premiere ofAlexander Dinelaris' Still Life, directed by Will Frears. The cast features Dominic ChianeseHalley Feiffer, Ian Kahn, Adriane LenoxKelly McAndrewSarah Paulson,Matthew Rauch and Frederick Weller. Performances began at the Lucille Lortel Theatre (121 Christopher Street, NYC) on September 16 and continue through November 1, 2009. Opening night was celebrated, Monday, October 5th and BroadwayWorld.com's cameras were there to capture all the opening night festivities.

In Still Life, photographer Carrie Ann inexplicably shuts down at the pinnacle of her career. Lost, and afraid to even pick up a camera, her sudden descent is interrupted by a whirlwind romance with Jeff, a trend analyst who becomes determined to help her move on, even while facing his own dark future. Two-time Drama Desk-nominated playwright Alexander Dinelaris (Red Dog Howls) is quickly being recognized as a stunning new voice in American theater. Film and theater director Will Frears(Omnium Gatherum) brings his discerning eye to this funny and heartbreaking play about a generation paralyzed by fear.

The creative team for Still Life includes David Cornis (Scenic Design), Sarah J. Holden(Costume Design), David Weiner (Lighting Design), Fitz Patton (Sound Design) and Michael Friedman (Original Music).

Performances are Tuesdays and Wednesdays at 7:00 pm, Thursdays - Saturdays at 8:00 pm, Saturdays at 2:00 pm and Sundays at 3:00 pm. Tickets are priced at $59 and are available by visiting www.ticketcentral.com or by calling 212-279-4200.

Later in the season, Beth Henley's Family Week, directed by Jonathan Demme, will starRosemarie Dewitt and Sarah Jones. Complete casting for Family Week is forthcoming.
