On Wednesday evening, May 12, Bowlmor Lanes hosted a 1 year on Broadway celebration for the stars of ROCK OF AGES, including Lauren Molina, Derek St. Pierre, Michele Mais, Michael Minarik, Angel Reed, Matt Stocke, Jenifer Foote, Katherine Tokarz, Jeremy Woodard, Becca Tobin, Winston Roye, Mitchell Jarvis, Tommy Kessler and more.
The party, which was open the public included real boardwalk games, live circus performers, and up-scale carnival themed food and drinks. Carnival at Bowlmor Lanes is one of New York City's most exciting entertainment venues, which brings the nostalgia of Coney Island to Manhattan through real boardwalk games, live circus performers and a menu of up-scale carnival themed food and drinks.
ROCK OF AGES opened on April 7, 2009 at Broadway's Brooks Atkinson Theatre to critical acclaim, following an off Broadway engagement in the fall of 2008. The Broadway production was nominated for Five 2009 Tony Awards®, including Best Musical, and New Line Records released the Original Broadway Cast Recording in July 2009, featuring 28 songs from the show. A New Line Cinema/Warner Bros. film of the musical, directed by Adam Shankman (Hairspray), is scheduled to be released in 2011.
