New York City's legendary Magnolia Bakery makes its stage debut as it unveils the official cupcake of PRISCILLA QUEEN OF THE DESERT THE MUSICAL.
"The Priscilla Cupcake" marks the first time in Magnolia's history that a Broadway musical has inspired the creation of one of its world famous desserts.
Based on Academy Award® winning designers Tim Chappel and Lizzy Gardiner's dancing cupcake costumes for the stage musical, the pistachio cupcake with fluffy pistachio meringue butter cream is topped with a meringue kiss, bright edible confetti and iridescent "disco dust!"
SIna Clark, vice president of operations at Magnolia Bakery and chief baking officer and president Bobbie Lloyd created the recipe in collaboration with Magnolia owner and chief creative officer Tyra Abrams and creative director Linda Facci who conceived its design.
