Photo Coverage: METHTACULAR! Reading at Theatre Row

By:

Two presentations of METHTACULAR! took place in the Studio Theatre at Theatre Row on Monday, January 31st. The readings, presented in association with Justin Brill, were open to the public and occured at 3:00 PM and 7:00 PM on the 31st. Theatre Row Studios is located at 410 West 42nd Street. Seating was extremely limited and reservations were required.

METHTACULAR! was written and performed by Steven Strafford (SPAMALOT) and directed by Adam Fitzgerald (kef theatrical productions) with music direction by Michael Harren and presented in association with Justin Brill (WICKED, national tour). Through wildly outrageous anecdotes and hilarious song stylings, Steven brought the audience through a harrowing account of his life as a crystal methamphetamine addict in Chicago from 2000-2003. "Come for the sex-and-drugs talk and stay for the laughs!" said Strafford, "If the stories about crystal meth addiction don't getcha, the songs sure will!"

METHTACULAR marks the second collaboration for Brill, Strafford and Fitzgerald, having previously produced (Directed by Fitzgerald and featuring Brill and Strafford) the Las Vegas concert version of INFINITE JOY as a benefit for the Rape Crisis Center.
