Photo Coverage: 'Little Sheba' Opens at Kirk Douglas

By:

The Center Theatre Group's production of Come Back, Little Sheba opened June 24 at the Kirk Douglas Theatre in downtown Culver City, which is staring S. Epatha Merkerson and Alan Rosenberg in the William Inge classic.

"In Come Back, Little Sheba, Lola (Merkerson) is a woman lost in her memories and caught in a stale 25-year marriage with Doc (Rosenberg), a man who has his own struggles with the past," state press notes.  "Lola opens their home to Marie (Jenna Gavigan), a fresh-faced young boarder, and soon the precarious balance of the couple's relationship is shaken by Marie's youthful sexuality and vivaciousness. Inge gives a compassionate and authentic voice to the complex emotions and longings of Lola and Doc as they are compelled to re-examine their life together."

Michael Pressman directs the play, running through July 15th, and also staring Josh Cooke, Michael Dempsey, Bill Heck, Lyle Kanouse, Roger Aaron Brown, Brenda Wehle, Matthew Williamson and Joe Mahon.
