Photo Coverage: Laura Bell Bundy at Birdland
On July 23rd, the Tony-nominated actress Laura Bell Bundy (Legally Blonde, The Musical) made her concert debut at the legendary Birdland in a performance celebrating the release of her new country album entitled 'Longing for a Place Already Gone.'
Prior to her current role on Broadway, Ms. Bundy recently starred as Sherrie Christian in the musical Rock of Ages in Los Angeles. On Broadway, she originated the role of Amber Von Tussle in the Tony Award-winning musical Hairspray, and played Glinda in the smash hit, Wicked. Prior to that, she originated the role of Tina Denmark in Ruthless, The Musical! for which she received the Outer-Critics Circle Award for Outstanding Actress in a Musical and Drama Desk nominations. Bundy was recently seen in the hit movie Dreamgirls where she plays the role of Sweetheart, a backup singer for the song, "Cadillac Car."
