Photo Coverage: Kelli O'Hara Debuts at Feinstein's

FEINSTEIN'S AT LOEWS REGENCY, the nightclub proclaimed "Best of New York" by New York Magazine, and "an invaluable New York institution" by The New York Post, continues its Fall 2010 season with the debut engagement of Broadway star and three-time Tony Award nominee Kelli O'Hara last night, October 19. In her new show, which runs through October 30, Ms. O'Hara takes a journey beyond the ingénue by mixing songs by newer songwriters like Tom Kitt and Ricky Ian Gordon with classics by Frank Loesser ("Somebody, Somewhere") Irving Berlin ("Always"). All performances, which feature a quartet led by Music Director Dan Lipton, will be at the Regency Hotel (540 Park Avenue at 61st Street). This program will also be performed at the Tilles Center on Long Island (November 5). BroadwayWorld was on hand for O'Hara's debut last night and brings you photo coverage below.

Kelli O'Hara has unequivocally established herself as one of Broadway's great leading ladies. She recently starred in the Tony Award-winning revival of South Pacific at Lincoln Center, enrapturing audiences and critics alike with her soulful and complex interpretation of Nellie Forbush, and garnering a third Tony nomination.

She made her Broadway debut in Jekyll & Hyde and followed it with Sondheim's Follies, Sweet Smell of Success opposite John Lithgow, and Dracula. In 2003 Kelli committed to a production of The Light in the Piazza at Seattle's Intiman Theatre. The show landed on Broadway in 2005 and earned Kelli her first Tony and Drama Desk Award nominations. She moved from one huge critical and commercial success to another when she joined Harry Connick, Jr. on Broadway in the 2006 Tony Award-winning production of The Pajama Game, for which Kelli received Tony, Drama Desk, and Outer Critics Award nominations. Kelli has worked regionally and Off Broadway in Sunday in the Park with George at Reprise, My Life With Albertine at Playwright's Horizons, and Beauty at the La Jolla Playhouse.

In addition to her critically acclaimed performance as Eliza Doolittle in the New York Philharmonic production of My Fair Lady, Kelli has performed a solo concert at Carnegie Hall with the New York Pops conducted by Rob Fisher. She has sung at Carnegie Hall with Barbara Cook and with the New York Pops under Steven Reineke, at the Kennedy Center with Marvin Hamlisch and the National Symphony Orchestra, with the New York Philharmonic also under Hamlisch, the Boston Pops under Keith Lockhart, Lincoln Center, Town Hall, Cooper Union, Joe's Pub, the Philly Pops conducted by Peter Nero, OCPAC, Broad Stage and the Ravinia Festival. She performed at the 2009 Kennedy Center Honors as part of the Barbra Streisand tribute and sang "God Bless America" at Yankee Stadium at Game 6 of the World Series.

Among her film and television credits are Sex & The City 2, Martin Scorsese's short The Key to Reserva opposite Simon Baker; The Dying Gaul starring Patricia Clarkson and Campbell Scott; "Blue Blood" (NBC pilot), "All Rise" (NBC pilot), "Alexander Hamilton" (Maria Reynolds) starring Brian F. O'Byrne (PBS), "NUMB3RS" (CBS), "All My Children," and animated series "Car Talk." Kelli released her debut solo album Wonder In The World on Ghostlight Records.

FEINSTEIN'S AT LOEWS REGENCY is presenting Kelli O'Hara from October 19 to 30 with the following schedule: Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday at 8:30 PM; and Friday and Saturday at 8:00 PM and 10:30 PM. Performances have a $60.00 cover with $75.00 premium seats available, in addition to a $40.00 food and beverage minimum. There are a select amount of seats, based on availability, with a $40.00 cover charge and no food and beverage minimum. Jackets are suggested but not required. The club is located at 540 Park Avenue at 61st Street in New York City.
