Dancers from the Federation of Ballroom Houses (Voguers), Drag Performers, Sailors and Cast Members from Various Broadway shows such as HAIR (including Tony-nominated star Gavin Creel), WICKED and West Side Story will recreate the event on the TKTS stairs on Thursday, June 25th. 40 years later, the LGBT community is still fighting for equality with the right to marry. Hippies, drag queens and white boys were all present at the Stonewall Bar the night of the police raid, which ignited the riots. Remembering the continued need to fight for equal civil rights, performers will restage this protest in Times Square in an effort to draw attention to this ongoing battle.
LOVE BALL - the official opening night party of NYC's Gay Pride - takes place on Saturday, June 27th at the Nokia Theater, Times Square (1515 Broadway).
