Big Bopper's "Chantilly Lace".
"Pat McRoberts as Buddy sings his way through two hours of
some of the best rock 'n' roll songs ever written. Buddy and his childhood
school friends, The Crickets, turned country music upside down and created a
unique style of sound which some called 'the devil's music'. This moving
musical revue recreates two of Holly's unforgettable concerts, including the
Crickets' appearance as the first white act ever to appear at the Apollo
Theatre and his final gig at the Surf Ballroom in Clear Lake, Iowa where Buddy was joined by Ritchie Valens and
the 'Big Bopper' J.P. Richardson, in one of the most exciting musical concerts
of all-time. Forever ingrained in our musical minds is the smiling,
bespectacled picture of this groundbreaking American idol whose spirit will
forever rock on!" state press notes.
